Refund and Returns Policy

Thank you for supporting the National Association for Black Veterans, Inc. (“NABVETS”). Your contributions help us continue our mission of advocacy, service, and support for veterans and their families.


This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for donations, memberships, event registrations, and merchandise purchased through
NABVETS.org.

 

Donations

All donations made to NABVETS are considered voluntary and non-refundable.
If you believe a donation was made in error, duplicated, or processed incorrectly, please contact us within 14 days of the transaction date. Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.


Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment whenever possible.


Membership Fees

Membership fees are generally non-refundable once payment has been processed and membership benefits or access have been granted.

Exceptions may be considered for:

  • Duplicate payments
  • Billing errors
  • Technical processing issues


Requests must be submitted within 14 days of payment (send to: [email protected]).

 

Event Registrations

Refund eligibility for conferences, conventions, training sessions, and other NABVETS events may vary by event.

Unless otherwise stated on the event registration page:

  • Cancellations made 60 days or more before the event may receive a full refund. 
  • Cancellations made 15–29 days before the event may receive a partial refund. 
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days before the event are generally non-refundable. 


NABVETS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events due to unforeseen circumstances. If an event is canceled by NABVETS, registrants will be notified regarding refund or transfer options.

 

Merchandise and Promotional Items

If NABVETS offers merchandise through its website, refunds or exchanges may be available for:


Requests must be submitted within
14 days of delivery and may require proof of purchase and photos of the item.


Items returned must be unused and in original condition unless defective.


Shipping fees are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to an error by NABVETS.

 

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have concerns about a transaction, we encourage you to contact NABVETS directly before initiating a chargeback with your financial institution. We are committed to resolving payment issues fairly and promptly (send to: [email protected]).

 

Processing Time

Approved refunds are typically processed within 14–21 business days, depending on your payment provider or financial institution.  We reserve the right to issue a money order by US Mail (on a case by case bases).
